Founded in 2006 by Peter Murray, GP Civil (now Ground Prep Civil) has proudly served the Whitianga and wider Coromandel area for nearly 20 years. Rooted in a legacy of integrity and hard work, we’ve grown into a trusted partner for local businesses, residents, and government sectors. In 2020, Peter’s retirement marked a new chapter as Andrew Scobie, a Whitianga local with over 15 years in civil project management, took the helm.

Andrew brings deep expertise from working with Tier 1 companies across New Zealand and abroad, along with hands-on experience in civil construction, forestry, and council projects. Today, he and his dedicated team carry forward GP Civil’s commitment to clear communication, high-quality workmanship, and cost-effective solutions tailored to each client’s needs.

We’re a family of locals delivering exceptional civil services—from earthworks, drainage, and roading to retaining walls and coastal projects. Our Whitianga-based team has completed projects from Fletchers Bay to Whangamata and beyond, even extending as far as Auckland and Hamilton.
